A Program for Survivors of Trauma

Exposure to trauma, especially repeated traumas, can produce life-long patterns of difficulties with emotional and physical functioning. This 8-week class provides a safe and supportive environment in which you will learn about the nature of trauma from neurobiological, emotional, psychological and spiritual perspectives through a combination of presentations and experiential exercises. Trauma is a whole-body experience that is unfortunately "kept alive" by the body and mind through the pathways that link yesterday’s experiences to today’s challenges and obstacles. While this class is not a substitute for appropriate individualized treatment, you will learn core skills that help you to "emotionally metabolize" yesterday’s wounds and put yourself on the path to healthier functioning.
